Dublin Fashion Festival

while my heart lies in the DIT Fashion Show, i have to move on from it now that  a grown up..ahem. so this week I'm delighted to be working on the Dublin Festival of Fashion with 1st Option.
All week we are traipsing from shop to shop looking at clothes, collecting them and carrying a lot of heavy things in general.

There will be two shows on Friday at  1:30 on Henry St and at 2:30 on Grafton St

on Saturday the 2nd we have shows at 1:30, 2:30. 3:30 & 4:30, yes this will involve me running from sound side to northside, but i plan to do this while looking fabulous the whole time..hhmm

then on Sunday it is the same schedule! also in the Ilac Shopping Centre Brendan Courtney of the telly will be dishing out some style advice and having the general banter with anyone and everyone who's there.

I'll start taking pics throughout the week, the clothes from Clerys today are pretty fabulous, not what you'd expect to find there at all! Courtney Smith will be there on the Saturday also giving out some style advice! sure its all go!

Its slowly but surely shaping up to be a good unreal event, although the rain does not look to be in our favour, i will continue my evening rain dances all the same.

see you there!

day15

So I'm a college graduate dying for work, I'll do anything I'm asked, I'm completely over eager and i never say no.....

thus i have no reason to complain that i have work....in all fairness though, my body is not really designed for this much work, it was mostly designed for sleep i feel. Something i am much lacking in these days, gone are the days of lie-ins & hangovers, getting up at 6:30am is the new rolling out at 11 for the Gilmore Girls

so here are some pics from work, i have been living in shopping centres for the past two weeks doing shows, thank god the models are sound, it like having very beautiful tall friends who undress and dress in front of you a lot. good craic!

Aunty Betty's Wee Goodie Shop

I wish i had an Aunty Betty...

This was the highlight of my trip to Aberdeen, little did i know on a very hungover trip to Stonehaven that i was to find this amaaazzaing sweet and ice cream shop, that was ideally located next to a fish and chipper, probably the most perfect cure for an Aberdeen hangover.

and if this wasn't enough for my wee eyes to take in,
the smell was unreal..

I can only liken it to what Care Bear land might smell like

And the do cakes for all occasions, literally the perfect shop.

this is the creation...yummers...serious ice cream cone

Some of the toppings on offer were jelly babies, marshmallows, haribo, buttons, malteesers and everything sprinkles, chocolate and syrup related...  and all for £2 a scoop, rip-off Ireland's got nothing on Scotland, cheap ice cream, chips and booze....and men in kilts...what a place.

who ever thought jelly babies would compliment a flake and wafer was a genius!

Thank you Aunty Betty
